You have completed/are completing a degree which has been taught and assessed in English (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included), and your degree shall be conferred no earlier than September 2017 with an English proficiency letter issued by the institution. The English proficiency letter should:

-indicate your degree has been taught and assessed entirely in English
4. You have completed a degree from one of the universities listed below:
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University; University of Nottingham Ningbo China; New York University Shanghai; Wenzhou-Kean University; Duke Kunshan University; The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen; Beijing Normal University-HongKong Baptist University United International College (aka UIC); Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
In exceptional circumstances, individual cases will be considered on their own merits. You may be required to attend interviews or tests to further demonstrate your English proficiency.
If you miss the English language requirements by 0.5-1.0 of an IELTS band, or a similar number for other English language exams, you can be admitted to the programme after successful completion of our four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
You can also apply to take the XJTLU English language test in lieu of an IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent. Based on the score, students may be admitted or may be required to take and successfully complete the four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
Additionally, students may be required to complete English language courses on a pass/ fail basis as part of the additional learning activity requirement during their studies at XJTLU.

I am applying for MSc in Applied Informatics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. I am very much interested in areas such as Object-Oriented Programming, Software Methods and Software Architecture. I developed interest in such areas during my undergraduate studies at The University of Malawi. MSc in Informatics shall also introduce me to new areas such as computational methods in finance and social web programming which shall broaden my understanding and knowledge in IT. Given chance, I am eager to work hard in all the courses offered including the dissertation so that I obtain first class or second upper class. This shall testify my capability to study this programme.
I am working as a lecturer in Information Technology hence my experience has compelled to continually study not only areas I learnt during undergraduate studies but also new areas relevant for the modules I lecture. As a Chinese University, I expected to be rendered with excellent service as an international student.

OVERVIEW
Computer Systems have become an increasingly important part of our society and our working lives. Virtually all modern organisations rely heavily on computer systems and there is a great need for suitably qualified computing professionals.
The MSc Applied Informatics programme will train you for advanced technical or managerial roles in computing areas such as finance informatics, information systems or telecommunications.
Graduates of this programme, as with all XJTLU masters degrees, earn a University of Liverpool degree that is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The completion of additional learning activities is required to complete your masters degree. Normally, required ALA hours will be distributed evenly across each semester, amounting to 200 hours per semester. Part-time programmes will normally require 100 to 150 hours per semester.CAREERS
MSc Applied Informatics graduates will find employment in the IT sector as systems analysts, managers, software engineers, application architects, developers and project leaders. Some students choose to continue as PhD candidates.

Applicants must submit a written study plan or research proposal in English or Chinese, with a minimum of 800 words for Master degree.
*9. Completed Original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and Blood Test Report
The physical examination must cover ALL the items listed in form. The forms with incomplete records or without the suggestion and signature of the attending physician, official cross-edge stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid.
