2. You have completed/are completing a degree in a majority English-speaking country (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included). Your degree shall be conferred no earlier than September 2017.
3. You have completed/are completing a degree which has been taught and assessed in English (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included), and your degree shall be conferred no earlier than September 2017 with an English proficiency letter issued by the institution. The English proficiency letter should:
-be typed and printed on institutional letterhead.
-bear the seal/signature of the issuing authority
-indicate your degree has been taught and assessed entirely in English
4. You have completed a degree from one of the universities listed below:
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University; University of Nottingham Ningbo China; New York University Shanghai; Wenzhou-Kean University; Duke Kunshan University; The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen; Beijing Normal University-HongKong Baptist University United International College (aka UIC); Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
In exceptional circumstances, individual cases will be considered on their own merits. You may be required to attend interviews or tests to further demonstrate your English proficiency.
If you miss the English language requirements by 0.5-1.0 of an IELTS band, or a similar number for other English language exams, you can be admitted to the programme after successful completion of our four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
You can also apply to take the XJTLU English language test in lieu of an IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent. Based on the score, students may be admitted or may be required to take and successfully complete the four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
Additionally, students may be required to complete English language courses on a pass/ fail basis as part of the additional learning activity requirement during their studies at XJTLU.

OVERVIEW
With the rapid advancement of computing technology, there is an increasing demand in the dynamic and challenging environment of financial services, for a variety of technological talent to deliver business solutions on a global scale.
The MSc Financial Computing programme addresses market demand and will train you for advanced technical or managerial roles in new interdisciplinary areas of computational techniques and equip you with financial knowledge to deliver effective business solutions.
The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is equipped with specialist lab facilities for operating systems, networking, mobile computing and multimedia technology that will support your learning and research.
Graduates of this programme, as with all XJTLU masters degrees, earn a University of Liverpool degree that is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
By studying MSc Financial Computing, you will gain:
theoretical and practical knowledge of key areas of finance and computing in both industry and research
knowledge of the latest technology and applications for the finance industry, such as big data and business analytics
practical skills in research, analysis, realisation and evaluation of technical or research documents in financial computing.MODULES
You will undertake eight modules in the first two semesters and a dissertation project in the third semester for a total duration of 18 months. You will choose these modules based on the subject area of your first degree, such as computing, finance or other fields. The precise content of your dissertation project will be discussed and decided with your project supervisor and is subject to approval.

The completion of additional learning activities is required to complete your masters degree. Normally, required ALA hours will be distributed evenly across each semester, amounting to 200 hours per semester. Part-time programmes will normally require 100 to 150 hours per semester.CAREERS

Applicants must submit a written study plan or research proposal in English or Chinese, with a minimum of 800 words for Master degree.
*9. Completed Original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and Blood Test Report
The physical examination must cover ALL the items listed in form. The forms with incomplete records or without the suggestion and signature of the attending physician, official cross-edge stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid.
